Here’s my official bio:
Jen Richards is a writer who specialises in making complex subject matter easy to understand. She brings a storyteller's perspective and a copywriter’s craft to corporate and scientific material. This means she wrangles words to make them accessible and compelling without losing the nuance.
Jen has a special interest in agriculture and sustainable gastronomy. She holds a Masters of Sustainability, a Bachelors degree in Russian literature as well as postgraduate training as a voice and dialect coach from Australia’s leading drama school.
She’s been described as 'relentlessly optimistic' and 'truly collaborative', and gets excited by multi-disciplinary teams, agile methodologies and history.

My unique blend of skills has allowed me to carve out a niche as a versatile communicator.
I began my career in the creative arts, training as a voice coach at the highest level. My work helped professionals—from actors and journalists to healthcare workers—find their voices. Literally! My ability to empower others through communication became my signature strength.
My growing interest in food systems led me to pursue a Masters in Sustainability. This allowed me to merge my love for storytelling with my passion for creating a better world. In 2016, I launched my own copywriting and content marketing business. I became the go-to writer for organisations making a difference in the food system. Now, I specialise in science communications and making complex topics accessible for general audiences.

In 2023, I published my first novel, a sweet romance set on a Bomber Command airbase in England during WWII. Several other novels followed, all of which include compelling characters and deep historical detail. Find out more here.
